...that everyone has sinned against a Holy and Righteous God.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
...that there is a payment that must be made for sin.
"For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23a)
...that God has made that payment for us.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
...that this payment is offered to us as a free gift.
"...the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23b)
...that it is a gift and that you cannot work for it.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works,
lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
...that you must repent of your sin and self and turn to God and do it His way.
"Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."
(Acts 20:21)
...that Jesus is the only way.
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John14:6)
...that you must believe in your heart and confess with your mouth.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
...that you must call upon the name of the Lord to be saved.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
If you have never made the decision to trust in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, or if you are not sure if you were to die today that you would spend eternity with God in Heaven, then the Bible says that you need to be born again.
"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the
kingdom of God." (John 3:3)
If you would like to trust Jesus Christ as your personal Savior you can call upon the name of the Lord today. Just pray something like this.
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe in my heart that you are God and that you came and paid my debt for
me when you died on the cross. I believe that you were raised from the dead. Today, I accept the free gift of eternal life
and the forgiveness of sins that you have given based on what You have done and not by anything that I have done. Please
come into my heart and life and show me how to live the way You would have me to. Thank you for saving me. Amen.
If you have prayed that prayer or a prayer like it, and you truly meant it from your heart, the Bible says that
you now have eternal life.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have
eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." (1st John 5:13)
...that you should follow the Lord in scriptural baptism, by immersion, and then join a local Bible believing church.
"Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand
souls." (Acts 2:41)
...that you should attend a local Bible believing church on a regular basis.
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the
more, as ye see the day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25)
...that you should read and study your Bible.
"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
(2nd Timothy 2:15)
Here are some other verses that you can look up about the Bible and salvation.
Don't wait until it is convenient to get saved because you don't know when your life will be over.
"Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth." (Proverbs 27:1)
Do not wait until it's too late. You will not be able to get saved after you die.
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" (Hebrews 9:27)
The Bible is the final authority in all matters of life.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness:" (2nd Timothy 3:16)
